Are Wood-O-Kidz toys tested for safety and certified?

Yes. The paints and finishes we use are non-toxic and conform to the EN 71-3 European safety standard for toys the international benchmark for migration of harmful substances in children's products. Every toy is checked for smooth edges, secure joints, and safe, small-part-free construction before it leaves our workshop. What happens if my child puts the toy in their mouth?

Completely normal, especially for babies and toddlers — and something we design for. Our finishes are non-toxic and food-safe grade, and toys for younger age groups are made without small, detachable pieces that could pose a choking risk. Each product page lists a recommended age so you can choose a toy that's right for your child's stage.

Why do wooden toys cost more than plastic ones?

A Wood-O-Kidz toy isn't mass-produced  it's handcrafted, piece by piece, by skilled artisans in our Jaipur workshop, from real, sustainably sourced wood. Where a plastic toy is often designed to be outgrown and discarded within months, a wooden toy is built to be played with for years, handed down, and remembered. Many of our customers tell us it's the toy their child comes back to long after flashier toys have been forgotten in a cupboard. You're not just paying for a toy  you're paying for craftsmanship, safety, and something that lasts.

Will this toy last / is it durable enough for daily rough play?

Yes our toys are built for real play, not just display. Solid wood construction, reinforced joints, and a protective finish mean they can handle daily use, drops, and enthusiastic little hands. Like any natural wood product, you may see gentle wear or small marks over time  we consider that part of its character, a sign of a well-loved toy, not a flaw.

Is Wood-O-Kidz a good gift for a birthday or festival?

Wooden toys make some of the most thoughtful gifts precisely because they're not disposable they're the toy a child remembers, and often the one a parent is genuinely grateful to receive instead of another plastic, battery-powered gadget. Many of our sets (like our pretend-play kitchens, dollhouses, and building sets) are popular first-birthday, festival, and milestone gifts. We're happy to help you choose the right one for a specific age or occasion — just reach out.

What if my order arrives damaged, or I'm not happy with it?

We carefully inspect and pack every order before it leaves our workshop, but if something arrives damaged or isn't right, we want to make it right  please reach out to us at hello@woodokidz.com within 24hrs - 48hrs with a photo, and our team will sort out a replacement.

How do I choose the right toy for my child's age?

Every product page lists a recommended age range, and our collections are organized by stage  8 to 18 months, 1.5 to 3 years, 3 to 5 years, and 5 to 8 years so you can shop by what your child is ready for right now. If you're ever unsure, message us on WhatsApp or email with your child's age and interests, and we'll happily recommend the right toy.

Every toy is handcrafted in our own workshop in Jaipur. we don't outsource production, so we control quality and safety at every step, from raw wood to finished toy. Yes. Wood-O-Kidz is a proud member of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), a body under India's Ministry of Textiles that supports and certifies genuine Indian handicraft businesses. We're also a two-time winner of the KSP Best Indian Toy Brand Award (2024 and 2025). Together, these recognitions reflect what we care about most real craftsmanship, made in India, held to a standard beyond just our own word for it.
