OUR BRAND STORY

Wood-O-Kidz (W.O.K) is a Jaipur, India-based, family-run wooden toy brand for children aged 1–10years, handcrafted by local artisans and twice named Best Indian Toy Brand by the KSP Award (Kids Stop Press)  winning consecutively in 2024 and 2025.

Every toy is made from sustainably sourced natural wood, designed to be open-ended and screen-free, and built to grow with a child across multiple developmental stages rather than serve a single purpose.

This spirit of curiosity is what inspired the creation of Wood-O-Kidz -  A brand born from a desire to build something meaningful for both children and the planet.

What we believe: less, but better

We design against the grain of a screen-heavy, overstimulating childhood. Instead of toys that do one thing once, we make toys that do many things, again and again — a set of blocks that’s a tower today and a farmhouse tomorrow. Fewer toys, used more imaginatively, is the whole philosophy. Every product is designed to grow with your child, helping them build confidence, stay curious, and keep playing without a battery or a screen in sight.

Wood-O-Kidz is a family-run factory based in Jaipur, India, where every toy is handmade by skilled local artisans. Our workshop is built on fair training, wellbeing, and dependable employment for village communities — for us, “handmade” means heart-made, and every toy carries a story of craftsmanship, not mass production.

Sustainability, from tree to toy

Every toy starts as natural, renewable wood, sourced and finished with minimum-to-zero waste. We use eco-friendly manufacturing at every step, use organic, non-toxic colors, and are working toward giving back through planting and community campaigns. Safety and durability aren’t an afterthought — they’re the design brief.
